PAYG for WYD A five-part programme of prayer
for pilgrims to World Youth Day in Sydney

Thousands of young people will be travelling to Sydney, Australia, this month to join Pope Benedict for World Youth Day 2008.  This is the largest youth event in the world, and runs from Tuesday 15 to Sunday 20 July.

If you are one of those young people, you're probably travelling a great distance, perhaps on a long-haul flight across the world, so Pray-as-you-go is offering a series of five guided meditations for you to use on the journey.

Produced in collaboration with the Youth Ministry Team of the Diocese of Westminster, there are three sessions for the journey out, and two for the journey home.

Following the usual Pray-as-you-go format of music, scripture reading and questions for reflection, the sessions are aimed at helping you prepare spiritually for the experience of World Youth Day, becoming aware of your reasons for making this journey, your hopes and expectations, and God's presence and guidance in your life, and subsequently to help you reflect prayerfully on the experience, where you found God in it, and how you will return to normal life afterwards.

As usual, the five prayer sessions are available here in MP3 format, separately or in a single ZIP file.
